For Mac · invite only

Your Mac is
the server.

Bob turns the Mac you already own into a home for small apps. Say what you need, Claude builds it, and every phone you let in opens it, on your Wi-Fi or anywhere through your own link.

Nothing to rentThe Mac on your desk is the server.
Nothing to codeSay what the app does. Claude builds it.
Nothing to wait forNo app store. Phones open it the moment it ships.
How it works

Say it. Claude builds it. Phones open it.

Bob does the parts nobody wants to think about: where the app lives, how phones reach it, who may sign in and what they may touch.

Say what you need

A till for the café. A chore chart for the kids. A booking sheet for the studio. Pick the kind of app, write a line about it, and pick a look if you like.

Claude builds it inside Bob

Bob hands Claude the tools, the rules and the parts for that kind of app. Claude writes it, checks it, tries it on a throwaway copy and ships it, beside a live preview.

Every phone opens it

Phones on your Wi-Fi open it straight away; your own public link reaches everyone else. It goes on the Home Screen like any app, and an app opened before keeps working while the Mac is off.

Demo

From one line to a team's app.

The real Bob on a Mac, taking a restaurant's app from one line to the waiters, chefs and cashiers who use it.

The harness

Claude builds in a room Bob made for it.

Bob isn't a chat window that hopes for the best. It's a harness: a small set of tools Claude must build with, and rules every app has to pass before a phone ever sees it.

  • Sealed offNo shell, no web, none of your files. Claude reaches your Mac only through Bob's tools.
  • Checked in secondsTypes, tests and snippets run in a sandbox while Claude works, so mistakes are caught before you see them.
  • Tried before it shipsClaude opens the app on a throwaway copy with pretend data, as any role, and looks at the pictures.
  • Rules at the doorShipping refuses code that would break on a phone or reach outside the app. Each kind of app comes with its own craft notes.
Your data

It lives at home, on your Mac.

Every app keeps its records in a database on your Mac. No one else's cloud, no monthly bill.

  • Every record signedEach one knows who made it and who changed it last.
  • Roles, down to the rowWho may read, add, edit or delete, per collection. Some people see only what they made.
  • Signing in, sortedGoogle, a code by email, or a passkey. Customers at your tables get a QR that works for a few hours.
  • Yours to fixOpen any app's records on the Mac and change them in a table. The public link only carries traffic: nothing is kept on the way.
Analytics

Know how every app is doing.

Today, or the last 7, 30 or 90 days against the ones before. Bob works it out on your Mac and says what changed in plain words.

  • Every app at a glanceBusiest first, each with its sparkline. Open one for its days, its weekday and hour, and who added the most.
  • Your own numbersTakings, orders, sign-ups: pick an app, what to count and a goal. Bob suggests the ones that fit.
  • Take it with youSplit any number by what matters, and export it as a spreadsheet.
And the rest

Everything a small app needs, already there.

Live on every phone

A change on one phone shows on the others as it happens.

Messages and push

People chat in Bob, and apps can notify them, even when closed.

Walk-in QRs

Customers at a table scan once and use one app for a few hours.

Suites of apps

Orders, kitchen and stock, built together and sharing their records.

22 looks

From dark and quiet to bright and playful, each made for a kind of app.

Feature flags

Turn part of an app on for everyone, or just for some roles.

On the Home Screen

Each app installs on its own, with its own icon.

Bob for Android

Apps install as real Android apps, with native notifications.

Invite only

Request access.

Bob is young, so invites go out a few at a time. Say who you are and what you'd build; your invite comes by email.

You'll need a Mac on macOS 14 or later that stays on, and Claude to build with.
